Demand for housing in UK decreases

City-houseDemand for housing in July overall UK fell to the lowest level since November 2013, according to the report of National Association of Estate Agents. The survey also shows the average number of house seekers dropped to 298 in July down from 462 year on year. Despite a drop in demand, supply in houses available for buyers to purchase saw a minor increase in July, up from June.

Mark Hayward, NAEA managing director, says: “There was expectation to see uncertainty in the immediate period following Brexit and during the summer months the market always calms down, so there is positive thought that the housing market will spring back into full swing in the coming months.”
